Chantilly Lace Boutique houses a unique collection of Australian and European Labels, offering timeless and statement pieces for all occasions. Since opening our doors in 2005 we have rapidly become an iconic destination on the East Coast of Australia.
Australian favorites include Banana Blue and Olga De Polga and for our more relaxed but special daywear collection we bring you Ruby Yaya, Naudic, Lulu Soul and One Season.
From Europe, the boutique houses Barcelona’s vibrant Desigual collection and London Label, King Louie. Denmark’s Bohemian label Noa Noa is also a great favourite along with Canadian designer Joseph Ribkoff, famous for his chic dresses that take you from the office to lunch and out to dinner with ease and style.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...
Lightly grew up in England, studied art and design in London and went to the London College of fashion. She travelled extensively through Asia and finally came to settle in the Tweed Valley.
"I had always had this dream to design and make my own collection of clothing and open my own boutique. After heading back to the northern rivers after living in New Zealand for 4 years, a friend offered me a beautiful shop space in Murwillumbah that had stunning art deco windows, solid timber floors and a great café around the corner! It was then I knew that it was the right time to bring my dream to life.
Initially the inspiration for the shop was to make one off pieces from fabrics people had treasured, and to create a space in which women could be nurtured and uplifted in the delight and play of dressing up.
So I began by setting up a sewing machine with cutting tables, I placed an old tailors dummy in the window and started out doing exactly that.
After only a few months it was clear that we couldn’t keep up with the demand for Occasion wear, and I began to branch out by offerings pieces from other designers.
The shop soon began to flourish with girls coming in for their formal gowns, people going to weddings and even brides themselves. From these beginnings an exquisite collection was created and we soon grew out of our little shop with the French windows and moved across the road onto the corner.
Now with Day and Evening wear, we not only have a strong local following, but have regular clients from Melbourne and Sydney, and as far afield as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and NZ, who wait until their family visits to come to Chantilly to buy the latest Australian and European clothing. We hold an eclectic range – something for everyone, with designers from all around the world and for every occasion, always remaining true to the impulse to support, nurture and celebrate being a woman".
